Online classes or E-learning during COVID -19 Lockdown

As we know everyone is indoors and there are no schools due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, to continue learning, online learning or virtual classroom is the only way.

A virtual classroom is an online learning environment that allows tutors and the learners to communicate and collaborate.

Live virtual classes save the commute's time and money and the best part is, you can be together from any part of the world. Many people observe the sharpening of digital skills quite impressive in students as well as teachers.

COVID-19 has placed parents in centre of learning, this is true especially in the pivotal early grades, in which children's learning requires frequent adult facilitation.

Many Parents, Guardians and Caregivers are struggling to navigate this new world of Zoom meetings and working remotely themselves and they don't have the time to devote the distance learning activities.

E-learning requires strong self-motivation and time management skills. Online classes typically have an asynchronous, or self paced, portion. Students sometimes feel online learning is impersonal, isolating and non-interactive.

A classroom has one or more instructors and peers who can hold a student accountable for their course work. In contrast online course involve setting our own goals, tracking progress and meeting deadly lines.

Online virtual classes has reduced the student's physical activity and they are confined to their desk and laptop. We all know that blue light of these (constant staring) screens can damage eyes and lead to many problems in future. Regular breaks are advised when using laptop or phone screens.

It is important for parents and families to play an active role in their child's education and for educators to develop plan for supporting and engaging families in distance learning.
