Halloween Day 2020

Halloween is an eerie (dreadful) holiday celebrated each year on October 31. In Ireland, where Halloween originated, bonfires are lit and people get dressed up in costumes to ward off (repel) ghosts.     

       The    word    Holloween    comes    from "All Hallows' Eve" and means "hallowed evening".

Orange and black have long been the traditional colors of Halloween. Halloween is also often associated with some seemingly spooky iconic animals - spiders, black cats, wolves, ravens and bats.

Pumpkins with ghoulish faces and illuminated by candles are a sure sign of the Halloween season.
